Paint it Black!
We hear all the time that painting a room a dark color will make it look smaller. Not true! My answer is always that a dark wall tends to recede. This living room got a bold update! It’s true, this room had plenty of light to accommodate the black walls. But, the Tricorn Black by Sherwin Williams walls add the drama that this space was craving. How do you make a black and white room warm and cozy?
You add texture and interest. We did that with the driftwood coffee table, a rattan chair, sheer textured draperies, a wool rug and lots of fringey pillows. We kept the accessories on the large wall unit simple to keep the modern look and to not interfere with the rest of the room. We love how it came out!
