Beach House Master Bathroom
This beach house master bathroom was in need of an update! It didn’t feel like it’s Hilton Head, South Carolina location at all. It was a Tuscan bathroom! You can see the BEFOREs over on our blog page. It was out with the tuscan bathroom and in with the bright, airy, white marble look, gray and white bathroom, perfect for it’s beach location!
The original bathroom had a disjointed floor plan. One of the sinks was in a separate area near the cave like shower,. There was also an oversized unused bathtub and a lack of closet space. The first task was to create a more functional, open floor plan. We used the space where the shower, toilet and sink were to create a large walk in closet.
We removed the unused bathtub and built an oversized, marble look, tiled walk in shower in that space.
We created back to back, double sinks, perfect for this busy couple to get ready together, but in their own space.
All of the Tuscan tile was swapped out for the gorgeous, marble look tile, much easier to clean than marble.
But, guess what! This gorgeous master bathroom was an online design project!
For these clients we did the Consultation in person, but we were not on site for the project.
We worked with the clients and contractor to create a new, functional layout. Then we got to work and chose all of the finishes. The client was able to log on to their own personal site that we set up for them and approve all of the products and then order everything on their own. We provided them with a specific plan. They then worked with their contractors. Of course, we were available for any questions that came up along the way. And it came out spectacularly!
Not everyone needs full service design. Sometimes clients just need help making all of the choices and a plan to go by.
